Primer simple de Los Beatles - 50 años

El 5 de octubre de 1962, se lanza el primer simple de The Beatles. La canción Love me do, se transformo en el primer hit de la legendaria banda de Liverpool y hoy cumple 50 años.

Love me do, fue escrita por John Lennon y Paul McCartney y fue grabada en septiembre de 1962, en los estudios Abbey Road de Londres.

El 5 de octubre de 1962 se lanzo Love me do, canción que solo logro estar en el puesto 17 del ranking musical, pero que con el tiempo se convirtió en el primer gran hit de los Beatles. Love me do cumple hoy 50 años de su lanzamiento y si bien es un clásico, aun tiene gran vigencia.

El dia que John Lennon y Paul McCartney se conocieron

John Lennon y Paul McCartney se conocieron el 6 de julio de 1957, fue un sábado en la tarde. Ese día había una fiesta de la iglesia de St. Peter, en Woolton, Liverpool, donde actuaba el grupo de skiffle de John Lennon, The Querry Men. En esa época John Lennon tenia 16 años y Paul McCartney era casi dos años menor.

Paul McCartney, poseía muy buen conocimiento de los acordes, de oscuras letras de rock & roll y sabia afinar la guitarra, todo esto impresiono a John Lennon, ese dia. Rápidamente Paul McCartney se incorporo a The Quarry Men, así fue como Paul McCartney mostro sus primeras canciones a John Lennon y lo animo a que también el intentara escribir sus propias canciones. De este modo se formo una de las duplas mas creativas de canciones y melodías de todos los tiempos. El repertorio de ambos fue creciendo constantemente a lo largo de los siguientes cinco años.
